24-Jan Laike was at the groomers today. This is the trim we get her, cropped short, every three or four months.
Updates
Update 25-Jan: Had a visit from Savvy’s breeder. She took a number of profile photos that I’ve added to each individual gallery.
Update 24-Jan: Added new individual headshots. Puppies are eating well and are transitioning across to solid foods. Vets appointment booked for next Tuesday, where they’ll get a checkup, microchipped and initial vaccination. Note that we are using the Lepto 4 vaccine (not Lepto 2) as it offers better protection for dogs that are in water a lot. Please look up the difference between the two, your puppy will need a second Lepto 4 vaccination on 28 February.
Update 12-Jan: Being kept busy! All puppies doing incredibly well and are getting very demanding around meal times. We’re feeding them puppy porridge two or three times a day, milk and they’re still chasing Laika. Feeding four at a time now, doing two at a time was almost 30 minutes a feed.
Update 4-Jan: We’ve started weaning them, all now on puppy porridge and suckling. They’ve been moved to a larger enclosure where they’re starting to spend more time play fighting and with toys.
Update 26-Dec: Gaining weight brilliantly, with all around 730g, apart from the greediest who’s over 800g. Eyes are open!
Update 21-Dec: All puppies are now Kennel Club registered and I’ve updated the individual puppies profiles with their registered names. All are now over 500g and are thriving.

Puppy Details
We were overjoyed to welcome eight healthy and beautiful Lagotto Romagnolo puppies into the world on 10 December 2022.
There are four dogs and four bitches, all currently brown and white but we expect some to develop into a brown roan.
The Dam, Laika, is a brown and white we imported from France. Plans to have a litter with her were delayed by COVID-19 until this year when we were pleased to be offered the services of Savvy, a brown roan who’s breeder and owner are both heavily involved in the Lagotto Romagnolo Club of Great Britain.

You’ll see that Savvy is a carrier of the JE (juvenile epilepsy) gene whilst Laika is clear. This means that, although none of the litter will be affected by JE, the combination of a carrier and a clear will typically mean a litter of 50% carriers and 50% clear.
