🇲🇦 Magical Marrakech retreat announced

In summer of 2025 I taught in France on a retreat hosted by Harrison and Katel from Perigord Retreats. This event in the lush, green Dordogne region with its quaint villages and ancient castles was such an enjoyable experience for our group. I loved working with our hosts, so I'm teaming up with them again for a retreat further afield that will happen early in 2027. This time we’ll be swapping medieval French villages for the allure of magical Marrakech.

Join us for a week of colour, culture and creativity in Morocco.

Our base will be a beautiful villa set in an olive grove just outside Marrakech, with views stretching toward the Atlas Mountains and the Agafay Desert. We'll enjoy comfortable accommodations, nourishing farm-to-table meals made with local ingredients, a dedicated studio space and time to relax by the (heated) pool when a pause is needed.

From excursions into the Marrakech Medina (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) to quieter moments in the countryside, this retreat offers both stimulation and ease. We'll sketch, paint and create together, there's so much to inspire all the senses and you'll soon realise why the light, colours, sights, sounds of this ancient North African country draws people from around the world.

From dramatic landscapes and beautiful forms and patterns found in the architecture, to the cool and calm gardens of the Jardin Majorelle, the intensity of the souks and markets of Marrakech, the vastness of the desert, the rhythm and flow of a creative retreat—it all will feed us in unique ways.
